From February 14 to 15, Arnaud Cauchois, Country Director for Nepal of Asian Development Bank and his team visited the site of Narayanghat-Butwal (NB) Road Project of CSCEC, accompanied by Sushil Babu Dhakal, the owner's representative, Park Kwang Sik, the supervisor's representative, and the project manager.

During the visit, Arnaud Cauchois and his team focused on the construction progress of the project, pandemic prevention and control, environmental protection and other aspects, and recognized the current investment in personnel, machinery and equipment of the project.

Arnaud Cauchois pointed out that all parties need to cooperate with each other to better and faster advance the construction schedule. The owners and the supervisors should actively coordinate with the local government to help the project department solve the difficulties and problems encountered in the construction process. The project department should continue to strictly keep a safe construction environment to ensure the safety of vehicles along the road.

The project manager said that they would continue to optimize the construction organization, speed up the construction progress to complete the construction task on time according to the construction plan, and strive for the early completion of the upgrading of the main artery running through Nepal's east and west!

The total length of the project is 113 km. The main construction task is to upgrade the existing two-lane highway to a four-lane highway. As the first project of CSCEC in Nepal, it is also a milestone in Nepal's road development. After completion, the project will connect the road between cities in southwest Nepal and Kathmandu, improving local traffic and benefit the people along the road.
