Built by CSCEC, Dong'an Lake Sports Park, the venue of the 31st Universiade, was officially unveiled.

Located in Chengdu, Dong'an Lake Sports Park consists of "one stadium and three venues", namely, a large Grade A stadium with 40,000 seats, an extra-large Grade A gymnasium with 18,000 seats, a swimming and diving hall with 3,000 seats, and a venue for table tennis and badminton etc.. It is a new landmark of China's leading sports and entertainment complex and a new landmark of Chengdu sports. The project covers an area of 306,900 square meters, with a total construction area of about 120,000 square meters.

On the top of Dong'an Lake Stadium, the main venue of Universiade, a huge "sun bird" made up of tens of thousands of colored glazed glass spreads its wings and tends to fly in the distinctive glass canopy.

During the design, the gold decorative pattern of "divine bird" was enlarged by nearly 2.7 million times, and it was "settled down" on the roof of the Stadium of Universiade in Dong'an Lake Sports Park. In order to have the audience enjoy the "divine bird" while watching games, a layer of ceiling film at the lower edge of the steel structure of the main stadium was set up. The light transmittance of the ceiling film is 41%, and the pattern of "divine bird" is formed by UV curing printing and inkjet printing, which can not only shield the internal keel, but also enable the audience to clearly see the "divine bird" from any angle.

As one of the stadiums of the Universiade, the platform of Dong'an Lake Sports Park Stadium is the punchline of the whole building.

The viewing platform is located in the south of the stadium, with a height of 29 meters, which is equivalent to 10 floors. There is also a wide field of vision of 120 degrees and a curved platform with a width of 300 meters. Standing on the platform, you can see Longquan Mountain, Dong'an Lake and the Sports Park and so on.

From the beginning of design, the project team considered the future life cycle and sustainable development of Dong'an Lake Sports Park. On the one hand, it can be a sports and entertainment industry base for large-scale world sports events, first-class domestic performances and fitness training through. On the other hand, a venue for table tennis and badminton and small stadiums are built around the venue. At the same time, in Dong'an Lake Park, several kilometers of walkways and bicycle lanes are planned to serve the people here.
