The extended 44th session of the World Heritage Committee kicked off in Fuzhou, Fujian Province from July 16 to 31, 2021. In 2015, the world cultural heritage application for the Imperial Kiln Museum started in Jindezhen city, Jiangxi Province. It is hoped that the Imperial Kiln Museum will be listed in the World Cultural Heritage List in 2024. Several projects built by CSCEC, such as the Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Museum, and the protection facilities for Imperial Kilnsite, will be declared for the World Heritage in 2024.
As the only imperial porcelain factory in the world and the only ancient imperial kilnsite in China, the project of Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Museum, built by CSCEC, includes the Jingdezhen Imperial Kiln Museum, the maintenance of 240 ancient buildings and other supporting facilities, and the reconstruction of 5 municipal roads, with a total construction area of about 131,000 square meters. Among them, the museum covers an area of 10,400 square meters and consists of eight multi-curved arch structures. It is a new business card of Jingdezhen to the world, a new landmark for reviving the ancient town with over 1,000 year history and reshaping the global porcelain capital.
