On May 24, CSCEC open day event was held at the public rental housing project on Dongsheng Road, Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province.
The project is one of the first batch of prefabricated housing projects built by CSCEC. It meets the standards for Grade-A prefabricated building and green construction of building. During the process of construction, the project team brings in new concepts, which is of great significance to the research and development of steel-structural prefabricated houses in the coastal areas with high frequency of typhoon occurrence.
As a livelihood project, it consists of three single buildings with a construction area of 68,000 square meters. Compared with the traditional cast-in-place concrete structure, the project is efficient and energy-saving in construction and reduces construction waste by 30%, carbon emissions by 50%. The project will provide 840 public rental houses for low-income groups such as sanitation workers and bus drivers after its completion. The project is scheduled to be completed and delivered in the latter half of this year.
