In the future, the two sides will carry out in-depth strategic cooperation to promote a successful progress of the project.

The Cross Island Line (CRL) is the eighth MRT line in Singapore, and it is also the longest underground line. The Land Transport Authority of Singapore announced the line plan for the first time on January 17, 2013. The CRL is about 50 kilometers long and will be constructed in three phases. It will link major hubs such as Jurong Lake District, Punggol Digital District and Changi region. When fully completed, the CRL is expected to have a daily ridership of at least 600,000 in the initial stage, growing to one million in the longer term. It will also bring Singapore closer to the goal that 8 out of every 10 households can walk to the subway station within 10 minutes, which will help Singapore to realize the long-term vision of reducing car usage.

As the first batch of CRL projects, The CR105 project has received extensive attention from local society and mainstream media outlets. Media outlets including The Straits Times, Union Morning Paper, Business news, and Channel News Asia has covered this breaking news.
