CSCEC and Taisei Corporation have jointly won the bid for the CR105 project of the first large diameter TBM project between the Aviation Park Station and Loyang Station of the Cross Island Line (CRL). The total length of the tunnel is 3.2 kilometers. The CR105 project is the first CRL in Singapore, and it also serves as the first tunnel project constructed locally with the large diameter TBM. At the same time, it is also CSCEC's first large diameter TBM project in overseas market, achieving another major breakthrough in infrastructure.

The Cross Island Line (CRL) is the eighth MRT line in Singapore, and it is also the longest underground line. The Land Transport Authority of Singapore announced the line plan for the first time on January 17, 2013. The CRL is about 50 kilometers long and will be constructed in three phases. It will link major hubs such as Jurong Lake District, Punggol Digital District and Changi region. When fully completed, the CRL is expected to have a daily ridership of at least 600,000 in the initial stage, growing to one million in the longer term.
