A few days ago, Zhang Yan Cultural Museum, jointly built by China State Construction Engineering Corporation Ltd. (CSCEC) and the Government of Chonggu Town, Qingpu District, Shanghai, was selected as one of the award winners of 2020 Fashion 100+ Billboard in Shanghai.

The base of Zhang Yan Cultural Museum includes the original village history museum, Zhang's family residence and part of the open space. The adjacent buildings are mostly two-and three-storey foreign-style houses in the 1980s and town god's temples. Among them, the cultural museum is composed of three halls, each of which forms a separate space around a water patio, with the themes covering from "contemporary" to "tradition" then to "future". The museum combines old things with new ones, and retains as many original buildings as possible. The harmonious coexistence of the old and the new not only preserves the tradition, but also meets the needs of contemporary people.

Since the completion of the project, it has been praised many times at home and abroad. In 2020, Designboom, a world-renowned established Italian design website, released the list of the "Top Ten Museums and Cultural Centers" in the world. China has four museums on the list, including Zhang Yan Cultural Museum invested and constructed by CSCEC.

At the same time, Zhang Yan Cultural Museum was also shortlisted for the world's best buildings selected by Dezeen, a well-known architectural magazine, and was named one of the top ten buildings in China.
