On December 27, with the first departure of the C2702 Fuxing bullet train from Xiong'an Railway Station, the railway line between Daxing Airport and Xiong'an New Area went into operation. The opening of the project marks the official opening of CSCEC-built Xiong'an Railway Station, the first major infrastructure project in Xiong'an New Area.

The 92.79-kilometer-long Beijing-Xiong'an intercity high-speed railway line has five stations, with Xiong'an Railway Station as the largest one. Covering a total construction area of 475,200 square meters, Xiong'an Railway Station equals the size of 66 football fields. As the first high-speed railway station in China to adopt the fair-faced concrete construction method on a large scale, Xiong'an Railway Station is renowned for its one-off casting and molding process as well as its tall and beautiful structure. Automatic robots with steel structure are also used for the first time to achieve standardized welding process.

After the opening of the Xiong'an Railway Station, people can travel from Xiong'an New Area to major cities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, including Beijing, Tianjin and Shijiazhuang. The opening of the station will further improve the structure of the high-speed railway network in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and improve Xiong'an New Area's capacity to facilitate the development of the whole country. The project will also help phase out non capital functions from Beijing, and promote the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
