In Cambodia, the new building at China-Cambodia Friendship Preah Kossamak Hospital, constructed by CSCEC, has significantly increased the number of patient wards, alleviating the previous strain on the inpatient department. Now as the largest and most advanced public hospital in Cambodia, the hospital handles 1,200 to 1,500 patient visits daily.

The hospital’s modern design emphasizes functionality and efficiency. Incorporating the "medical main street" concept, it enables clear segregation of patient and staff movement, as well as separation of clean and contaminated areas. The building features emergency elevators, establishing a critical "life corridor" between the emergency department and the imaging department. Specialty clinics, such as traditional Chinese medicine, have been introduced to meet the diverse needs of patients. "The construction of the new building has greatly enhanced our medical services and provided us with many modern facilities," said Mey Sithach, the hospital’s director. The hospital now has the capacity to treat dengue fever and other previously challenging conditions.
As a leading modern hospital, it is now equipped to treat dengue fever and other conditions previously considered challenging to diagnose and manage.
"I came here because I heard that this hospital is very clean. The service is good, and the equipment is new. That’s why we came all the way from Battambang Province to seek treatment here", said PHON Kree SNA, a young Cambodian patient.
