VP of CSCEC Works Shortly in Philippines

On February 23-26, Zheng Xuexuan, Vice President of China State Construction Engineering Corporation Ltd. (CSCEC) went to Philippines and worked shortly there.
During his stay in Philippines, Mr. Zheng met with the Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade, Secretary of Public Works and Highways Mark Villar, Secretary of Energy Alfonso Cusi, and had a nice dinner with the Senate President Pimentel. Through communication with these officials, he got to know the basic situation of railway, highway, airport, port, power supply and housing construction in Philippines and their plans for cooperation with CSCEC. He exchanged ideas with them on how to strengthen project cooperation in the inter-governmental cooperation framework. Mr. Zheng introduced the general development and overseas business of CSCEC, and expressed that the company is willing to participate in infrastructure projects and especially inter-governmental cooperation projects in Philippines. Philippine officials spoke highly of the general strength and capability of CSCEC and welcomed it to do business in Philippines. They also would like to further discuss with the company about specific projects.
Mr. Zheng also paid a visit to Zhao Jianhua, Chinese Ambassador in Philippines, and reported to him CSCEC’s general development and progress made in Philippines. He also learned from the Ambassador about the bilateral relations between China and Philippines and his suggestions for cooperation in infrastructure projects.
Besides, he communicated with Fang Qiuchen, Chairman of China International Contractors Association who led a delegation to attend China-Philippines Investment Cooperation Forum held in Philippines. He also talked with Mr. Shi Gongqing, Honorary Chairman of Oishi Group in Philippines about cooperation between the two sides.
