China Construction Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of China State Construction Engineering Corporation Ltd, is one of the few companies having built and grasping the construction technology of all kinds of power plants such as nuclear power, thermal power, wind power, hydroelectricity, oil fired power, natural gas power, refuse incineration power, etc. The company takes the construction of nuclear power station, conventional power plant, and other clean energy power plant as its main business. It applies its major business mode of general contract of construction, EPC and BT, integrating R&D, design, construction and commissioning. Projects undertaken by the company spread over some 30 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China, as well as Hong Kong and Macao, extending to other overseas markets, namely, Vietnam, Pakistan, Botswana, Algeria, etc.
In addition to Guangdong Daya Bay Nuclear Power Station, a large million-kilowatt commercial nuclear power station, and Guangdong Lingao Nuclear Power Plant, Phase I, the company has built by contract over 200 power plants of all kinds and auxiliary production facilities, as well as transformer substations of all voltage classes. Some typical projects are Tangshan Douhe Power Plant (Phase 1 to 4), Guangdong Shajiao Power Plant (Plant B), Shenzhen Mawan Power Plant, Guangxi Laibin Power Plant, Datang Luoyang Shouyangshan Power Plant, Huaneng Taicang Power Plant, Fujian Nanpu Power Plant, Shenhua 4x200MW Coal Gangue Self-Generation Power Plant in Inner Mongolia, Fuyang Huarun Power Plant in Anhui, etc.
The company is currently working on a number of construction projects such as Lingao Nuclear Power Plant, Phase 2 Project, Liaoning Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Plant, Guangdong Taishan Nuclear Power Plant, Yangjiang Power Plant, Liaoning Qinghe Thermal Power Plant, Guangzhou Huarun Nansha Thermal Power Plant, Xinjiang Huawei Thermal Power Plant, etc. Taishan Nuclear Power Plant is the demonstration project supported, for the first time in China, by EPR pressurized water reactor technologies of the third generation. It uses the nuclear power unit of 1.7 million kilowatt capacity per unit, which is, so far, the largest in the world. The civil works on No. 1 and No 2.conventional island started on September 1, 2009.
The company has become the main force in China’s nuclear power construction and energy development.
